Job summary

Scissors & Scotch is a stylish barbershop and bar where managers lead with warmth and precision. The Assistant General Manager – Barber / Stylist Leader will cut hair (about 32 hours weekly) and also steer daily operations, scheduling, and team development when the GM is away.

This growth leadership role blends hands-on cutting with people leadership in a premium setting. You’ll build a strong culture, manage inventory, and ensure top‑notch client experiences while positioning yourself for

Qualifications

• Licensed barber or cosmetologist.
• Experience leading or supervising a team.
• Experience in a high-end barber shop or salon.
• Managing scheduling and inventory.
• Strong customer service and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shop in the GM’s absence and on schedule.
• Cut hair approximately 32 hours per week.
• Assist GM with daily operations including scheduling and training.
• Keep shop clean, stocked, and presentable with product inventory.
• Drive shop culture and coordinate team activities.
• Serve as liaison between team and management.
• Ensure every client leaves satisfied with leadership and problem-solving.
• Allocate 2–5 hours weekly to managerial/admin tasks atop cutting hours.
