Job summary

Life Time Inc. seeks a LifeSpa-Barber in Gaithersburg, MD to provide haircutting, styling and grooming services for club guests. This role excludes chemical treatments and focuses on client satisfaction and upholding salon standards.

You will educate guests on LifeSpa services, stay current with trends, and maintain a clean, well-stocked station while promoting Life Spa products and treatments. Applicants should have 1–3 years barber experience and a valid barber license.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent is required.
• 1–3 years of barber experience.
• Barber license in the state where work is performed.
• Preferred: experience as a barber in a professional setting.
• Knowledge of Salon Biz software is a plus.

Position Summary

The LifeSpa-Barber provides various hair services and treatments that improve the guest’s overall sense of well-being and enhances the club experience. Some services may include cutting, styling, and grooming and styling facial hair that result in exceeding the guest’s expectations. This position does not perform chemical treatments such as coloring, highlighting, or perming as a part of their service list.

• Serves as an expert in hair analysis, maintenance regimens while staying current in style and technique

• Maintains work stations to salon standards

Minimum Required Qualifications

Education

• High School graduate or equivalent

Years of Experience

• 1 to 3 years of experience as a barber
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest and commissions
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, climb and lift up to 50 pounds

Licenses / Certifications / Registrations

• Barber license in state where work is performed

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as a barber in a professional setting
• Knowledge in Salon Biz software
