Pouring With Heart is seeking a Barback for Seven Grand Los Angeles. You will keep the bar stocked, assist bartenders, and help prep, break down, and reset the bar to ensure smooth service. This role offers growth within a community-focused team in a historic LA venue.

Ideal candidates bring a strong work ethic, team attitude, and comfort with a fast-paced environment, plus 21+ with valid beverage service certification. Training and development are emphasized.

Responsibilities

• Keep the bar stocked, organized, and spotless during shifts.
• Restock spirits, beer, juice, syrups, garnishes, and glassware.
• Maintain ice bins and bar tools for smooth service.
• Assist with prep like juicing, garnishes, batching syrups.
• Breakdown, clean, and reset the bar after service.
• Learn cocktail ingredients and service techniques for growth.
• Follow health, safety, and responsible alcohol service.
• Support floor staff, bartenders, and bar leadership.

Pouring with Heart is currently looking for a new Barback at Seven Grand Los Angeles. We are excited to find a new family member.

The Role…

As a Barback, you are the backbone of the bar, ensuring bartenders can deliver exceptional service by keeping everything stocked, organized, and ready. This role is fast-paced and physically demanding, but it is also the foundation for building knowledge and skills to grow within the company.

About this Bar:

Seven Grand LA has been lauded for decades by whiskey enthusiasts and newcomers alike. Originally opened in 2007 on the second floor in the historic Brock & Co. Building in the Finance District, there's been a national spotlight on Seven Grand ever since. Come to check out the incredible whiskey selection and enjoy the live music!

Main Duties, but are not limited to…

• Support bartenders by keeping the bar stocked, organized, and spotless throughout every shift.
• Anticipate and fulfill restocking needs for spirits, beer, juice, syrups, garnishes, and glassware
• Maintain ice bins and bar tools to ensure smooth service flow
• Assist with prep tasks such as juicing, cutting garnishes, and batching syrups
• Help with breakdown, cleaning, and resetting the bar after service
• Learn cocktail ingredients, spirits, and service techniques to build a foundation for growth
• Follow all health, safety, and compliance standards, including responsible alcohol service
• Work as a team player, supporting floor staff, bartenders, and bar leadership where needed

Required Skills/Qualifications

• Previous barback or hospitality experience preferred but not required
• Strong work ethic, organization, and the ability to move with urgency
• Comfortable with fast-paced, physically demanding environments
• Team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills
• Passion for hospitality, curiosity to learn, and commitment to growth
• Must be 21+ and have valid certifications for responsible beverage service (varies by state)

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to work on your feet for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Fast-paced movements and mobility required to cover bar and floor space efficiently
• Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions as part of daily bar operations
