Job summary

Hyatt Regency Greenwich in Connecticut is seeking a Bartender to assist the bartender in serving guests and maintaining a high standard of service. The role requires hotel experience, strong guest communication, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Must communicate well with guests.
• Basic math skills for portion sizes and deliveries.
• Manual dexterity to handle equipment, glassware and kegs.
• Ability to read product labeling and apply instructions safely.
• Capable of lifting up to 150 lbs with or without accommodation.
• Ability to work in varied temperature ranges.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexible schedule required, including weekends and holidays.
• AM/PM shifts and holiday coverage as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist bartender in serving guests to ensure a positive experience.
• Retrieve orders and verify stock against requisitions.
• Prepare garnishes, juices and stock ingredients for service.
• Maintain cleanliness of bar, storage, and refrigeration areas.
• Support servers with table service and beverage station upkeep.
• Transport ice and manage ice containers for service areas.
• Box and secure empty liquor bottles for returns.
• Move and stock beer kegs and taps as needed.
• Adhere to attendance rules and work regular shifts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
