Position: Barback, part-time

Shifts: Friday through Sunday, ability to work some Thursdays and occasional evenings and holidays

Job Description/Responsibilities

  • Appreciate and provide excellent customer service
  • Comfortable interacting daily with customers and guests in a hospitality-focused environment
  • Excellent team player

This Position Requires The Following

  • Responsible for the assurance of quality and food safety of the product
  • Assisting with opening and closing duties, such as restocking the bar
  • Assist with prep work (cutting fruits and vegetables, preparing syrups, etc.)
  • Ensure the bar is well-stocked with ice, liquor, wine, and beer
  • Check taps and appliances to confirm that they are working properly
  • Keeping the bar clean by wiping down surfaces and emptying trash receptacles
  • Provide exceptional guest experience and connect with visitors through education
  • Strictly abide by state liquor regulations
  • Maintain the highest health standards, sanitation, and cleanliness
  • Fill in for bartenders when needed
  • Participate in continuous training and educational opportunities
  • Must be willing to take the company-paid course and become certified Stave & Thief Executive Bourbon Steward
  • Other Duties as assigned by management

Essential Skills And Experience

  • Must be at least 21 years old to serve alcohol
  • Must have active listening and effective communication skills
  • Positive interpersonal skills required
  • Knowledge of principles for providing outstanding customer service

Role Qualifications

  • A high school diploma and recognized formal certified training program, or equivalent education and experience
  • At least 2 years’ experience as a bartender or barback preferred

Physical Demands

  • Speak, hear, stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects
  • Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Climb and balance
