Job summary

Evans Hotels LLC's Oceana Coastal Kitchen at Catamaran Resort Hotel and Spa is seeking a Barback to support the bartender during service, prep beverages, and maintain clean, organized bar areas. The role focuses on guest experience in a beachfront setting with premium cocktails and food pairings.

Requirements include 3–12 months of relevant bar-related experience, weekend/holiday availability, and San Diego County Food Handler certification; RBS certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 3–12 months of relevant experience and/or training.
• Availability to work on weekends and holidays is required.
• Must attain a San Diego County Food Handler certification upon hire; Evans Hotels will provide training.

Responsibilities

• Assist bartender in set up of bar area and ensure equipment is on hand.
• Maintain stocked, clean, and sanitized bar; organize inventory.
• Slice and pit fruit for garnishes and monitor glassware and supplies.
• Check with bartender for function details and assist accordingly.
• Perform additional duties as directed by leadership.
