Job summary

Forty One North in Newport, Rhode Island, is seeking a Barback for the Summer to Fall season. You will be the engine behind the bar, stocking supplies, keeping stations clean and assisting bartenders during busy service.

No prior bar experience is required—training is provided. If you’re a university student aged 18–25 on a J-1 visa, join our energetic international team and gain real US hospitality experience at a waterfront venue.

Qualifications

• No prior bar experience required; team will train you.
• University students 18–25 on a valid J-1 Work & Travel visa.
• Ability to stand, lift cases and kegs, and move quickly during peak hours.
• Flexible for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Stock beer, wine, spirits, mixers, glassware and garnishes.
• Keep ice wells full and bar stations clean and guest-ready.
• Support bartenders during busy service so drinks flow quickly.
• Prepare garnishes and set up bar displays.
• Clear glassware, wipe surfaces and maintain health standards.
• Assist with deliveries, storage rotation and end-of-shift closing.
