Job summary

Highgate Hotels’ Renaissance Las Vegas seeks a Barback to assist the bartender in daily bar operations and guest service. The role includes keeping the bar clean, stocking supplies, and supporting beverage service in a lively, hospitality-focused environment.

You will learn beverages, maintain proper portions, and help with openings/closings. A friendly, attentive demeanor and teamwork are essential to meet guest expectations.

Qualifications

• Effective verbal and written communication with guests and colleagues.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
• Regular attendance and adherence to Highgate Hotel Standards.

Responsibilities

• Be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to guests and staff.
• Receive liquor, beer and wine from storeroom daily.
• Maintain cleanliness of bar, refrigerators and service areas.
• Replenish liquor, beer and wine as needed during shift.
• Know beverages, cocktails and portion control per hotel standards.
• Assist in opening and closing side-work as assigned.
• Ensure bar or lounge areas are tidy and clean at all times.
• Assist with maintaining beverage costs.
• Follow procedures when serving alcohol to avoid issues with intoxicated guests.
• Retrieve food items from kitchen and deliver to guests per service standards.
• Aim for overall guest satisfaction.
