Job summary

Virgin Hotels’ Kassie Beach House is seeking a Barback to support the beverage operation through timely bussing, bar prep, and reset of the bar. You will assist bartenders, stock supplies, wash glassware, and help deliver a seamless guest experience with friendly, informed service.

You will ensure legal drinking age verification, maintain a clean work area, and collaborate with BOH and FOH teams to promote efficiency and high standards throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Current, legal, and unrestricted ability to work in the United States.
• Food Service Handler Card and TABC certification valid for at least 6 months.
• Knowledge of and ability to mix a wide variety of drinks.
• Preferred: 1-2 years' experience in a full-service restaurant or lounge.
• High school or equivalent education required.

Responsibilities

• Support bartenders with pre-shift prep, post-shift close, and in-shift maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, hygienic and organized bar area including stocking of supplies and glassware.
• Explain basic details of food dishes and beverages at time of delivery to guests.
• Prepare basic non-alcoholic beverages (water, coffee, tea).
• Be an expert in bar organization and location of items.
• Prepare the bar daily and clean it nightly in preparation for the next shift.
• Adhere to company standards regarding food and beverage knowledge.
• Provide exceptional guest experience through positive interaction and guidance around the hotel and city.
• Ensure guests are of legal drinking age by checking IDs.
• Follow all safety protocols and communicate clearly in English.
