Job summary

NAIA, brought to you by DineAmic Hospitality, is a Greek-Levantine dining destination along the Chicago River in River North. The Barback will support bartenders, stock wells, and ensure prompt drink service in a dynamic setting.

Candidates should have 1+ year barback experience, with fine dining or high-volume backgrounds preferred, and knowledge of safe food handling standards. Competitive pay and growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• 1+ year barback experience, preferably in fine dining or high-volume environments
• Knowledge of local health department requirements for safe food handling and sanitation
• Ability to move, lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods

Responsibilities

• Assist with opening/closing duties: stocking bar with garnishes, napkins, glassware, and supplies
• Ensure bar has adequate ice, liquor, wine, and beer
• Check taps and change kegs if needed
• Keep bar clean and organized; clean surfaces, sweep/mop, remove soiled glassware
• Interact with guests and answer questions courteously
• Assist bartenders by taking orders, preparing drinks, and processing payments during peak hours
• Other duties as assigned by management
