Job summary

The Food Hall Co. is seeking skilled barbacks to join our team. This vital support position assists bartenders and helps ensure smooth shift operation, maintaining a clean, functional bar and delivering a positive guest experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) year of restaurant and bar experience.
• Must be able to read and speak English; bilingual Spanish speaking is a plus.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift at least 50 pounds.
• Maintain current Food Handler’s and State Alcohol Serving certifications (upon hire).
• Able to read and follow recipes for juices and batch cocktails.

Responsibilities

• Interact with guests professionally and in a friendly manner.
• Arrive on time for scheduled shifts, ready to work.
• Wear the proper uniform at all times (non-slip shoes).
• Maintain a clean and well-organized bar.
• Stock liquor, beer, ice, wine, and glassware throughout the shift.
• Proper labeling, dating, covering, and refrigerating prepped items in the bar.
• Perform opening, closing, and side work duties.
• Rotate product to maintain freshness. Prepare fruits and garnishes.
• Assist the bartender in greeting guests and welcoming them on arrival.
• Follow State Health Department Standards for cleaning and sanitizing bar equipment.
