Job summary

South Coast Botanic Garden in Palos Verdes Peninsula seeks a Barback to support food-and-beverage service. You will stock, clean, and assist with bar setup, expediting during events, and coordinating with kitchen staff to ensure timely service.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Previous barback or service experience preferred.
• Strong reliability, organization, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stand, lift up to 50 pounds, and work outdoors in varying weather.
• California Food Handler Card or ability to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Set up beverage and food-service areas with required supplies.
• Stock ice, beverages, mixers, glassware, and service materials.
• Assist bartenders, fill orders, and coordinate with kitchen.
• Maintain clean, organized service areas and handle safety procedures.
• Assist with opening, closing, and event checklists.
