Job summary

White Lodging is seeking a Barback at Kimpton Santo in San Antonio to support the bartending team, keep the bar stocked, and help ensure guests receive outstanding service. You will join an energetic hospitality environment where throughput is high and attention to cleanliness is essential.

You will work closely with bartenders to maintain stock, assist with guest questions, and uphold food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous barback or similar hospitality experience is a plus.
• Ability to collaborate with bartenders and staff.
• Must be able to stand and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist bartenders to ensure guest service.
• Maintain stock of ice, product, and supplies.
• Ensure food sanitation practices are followed.
• Keep bar area clean and perform side work as needed.
• Know menu items and garnishes; answer guest questions accurately.
• Maintain a neat, professional personal appearance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Do

• Work with bartenders to ensure excellent guest service and assist where needed.
• Maintain stock of ice, product, and supplies for the bartenders.
• Ensure that food sanitation practices are followed.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the bar area by removing dishes, breaking down trays, and completing all necessary side work.
• Be knowledgeable of all menu items, contents, preparation methods, and garnishes; accurately answer guest questions.
• Be an ambassador of our establishment by maintaining a neat and professional personal appearance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
