Job summary

Workstream in Houston is seeking energetic Barbacks / Bussers to support our bar and dining room operations. You will keep the bar fully stocked, clean, and organized while assisting bartenders and floor staff to ensure seamless service for our guests.

All roles are At-Will; candidates offered a position must complete initial training. Upon successful completion, you will transition into your active role; failure to pass training will result in termination of employment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of barback, busser, or restaurant experience preferred.
• Must be 21+ and able to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, squat, and stand for extended periods.
• Excellent communication, strong teamwork mindset, and knowledge of health/sanitation practices.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Bar Prep & Prep Work: Cut fruit/garnishes, prepare batch mixes, restock liquor, beer, wine, ice, juices, straws, and condiments.
• Bar & Floor Maintenance: Wash and restock glassware, clear plates/glasses from bar and dining areas, wipe down counters and stools, and change kegs as needed.
• Teamwork & Bartender Support: Assist bartenders at the service well during peak hours, support floor staff with table turnarounds, and maintain active communication across FOH.
• Sanitation & Organization: Keep work areas neat and clean while adhering to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
