Job summary

Workstream is seeking energetic Barbacks / Bussers to support our bar and dining room operations in Houston. You will keep the bar fully stocked, clean, and organized while assisting bartenders and floor staff to ensure seamless service for our guests.

Candidate should have 1–2 years of restaurant experience, be 21+, able to lift up to 50 lbs, and flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Competitive pay + tip share and employee discounts on food and beverages are offered.

Responsibilities

• Bar prep and restocking: prepare garnishes, restock liquor and bar supplies.

• Maintain cleanliness and adhere to health and sanitation guidelines.

We are seeking energetic and reliable Barbacks / Bussers to support our bar and dining room operations. You will keep the bar fully stocked, clean, and organized while assisting bartenders and floor staff to ensure seamless service for our guests.

Employment & Training Note: All of our roles are At-Will positions. Candidates offered a position are required to complete initial training. Upon successful completion, you will transition into your active role; failure to pass training will result in termination of employment.

Key Responsibilities

• Bar Prep & Prep Work: Cut fruit/garnishes, prepare batch mixes, restock liquor, beer, wine, ice, juices, straws, and condiments.
• Bar & Floor Maintenance: Wash and restock glassware, clear plates/glasses from bar and dining areas, wipe down counters and stools, and change kegs as needed.
• Teamwork & Bartender Support: Assist bartenders at the service well during peak hours, support floor staff with table turnarounds, and maintain active communication across FOH.
• Sanitation & Organization: Keep work areas neat and clean while adhering to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 1–2 years of barback, busser, or restaurant experience preferred.
• Age & Physical Capability: Must be 21+ and able to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, squat, and stand for extended periods.
• Skills: Excellent communication, strong teamwork mindset, and knowledge of health/sanitation practices.
• Availability: Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
