Job summary

Zuma Restaurant is seeking a Barback to support the bar team in Miami. You will stock supplies, prepare garnishes, and maintain cleanliness to help deliver exceptional service and memorable experiences for guests.

As part of a dynamic Izakaya-inspired concept, you’ll work with a large team, support bartenders during service, and help ensure smooth operations. This role offers world-class training, growth opportunities, and benefits within a globally renowned hospitality brand.

• Assist bartenders in setup and breakdown of the bar area.

• Monitor ice supply and maintain ice machines.
• Support bartenders during service and assist guests as needed.

As a Zuma Barback, you are responsible for supporting the bar team to ensure the smooth operation of our bar service. Your primary responsibility will be to assist with various tasks behind the bar, including stocking supplies, preparing garnishes, and maintaining cleanliness, to help deliver exceptional service and create memorable experiences for our guests.

Main Duties

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Assist bartenders in setting up and breaking down the bar area before and after service, including arranging bottles, glassware, and bar tools, and ensuring that all necessary supplies are readily available
• Stock and replenish bar inventory, including liquor, mixers, garnishes, and other supplies, to ensure that bartenders have everything they need to prepare drinks efficiently and accurately
• Prepare garnishes, such as citrus wedges, olives, and herbs, according to established recipes and standards, ensuring that they are fresh, attractive, and ready for use during service
• Monitor and manage the supply of ice, ensuring that ice bins are filled and ice machines are functioning properly, to support the efficient preparation and service of drinks
• Provide support to bartenders during service, including fetching and carrying items, clearing empty glasses and bottles, and assisting with guest requests, to help ensure smooth and efficient operations
