Job summary

THE SMITH is seeking a Barback to support busy service. You’ll assist bartenders, keep the bar clean and stocked, restock supplies, and prep garnishes.

You thrive in a fast-paced hospitality setting, take pride in guest satisfaction, and bring prior barback experience. You’ll help with glassware and closing duties.

This role is part of a collaborative team that values care for guests and community, with competitive pay and growth opportunities in a lively NYC dining scene.

Responsibilities

• Support bartenders throughout service.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar at all times.
• Restock bar supplies, including changing kegs, replenishing syrups, and preparing garnishes.
• Wash and polish glassware as needed to maintain par levels.
• Anticipate the needs of the bar team and proactively assist during service.
• Uphold cleanliness standards by maintaining all bar areas throughout the shift.
• Complete end-of-night responsibilities, including removing trash, cleaning bar stools, and resetting the bar for the next service.
