THE VENUE

View Boston, which encompasses the top three floors of the Prudential Tower, will feature immersive experiential exhibits and a bistro on the 50th floor, an indoor/outdoor cocktail lounge with a 360-degree outdoor viewing deck on the 51st floor, and a double high (24-foot) indoor viewing space on the 52nd floor. THE ROLE

The Barback provides behind-the-scenes support that keeps our bar running smoothly. The Barback assists Bartenders by restocking supplies, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring our guests receive fast, efficient service in a high-volume, high-energy environment with stunning skyline views.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Stock and replenish bar inventory including liquor, mixers, glassware, ice, and garnishes.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar areas.
  • Assist bartenders during service by clearing used glassware and preparing garnishes.
  • Anticipate bartender & guest needs throughout the shift.
  • Remove trash and recycle throughout shift and at close.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Report timely to work and prepare to start at the starting time. Know your work area and set up as directed.
  • Abide by the operating standards outlined in the policy and procedure manual.
  • Support the bar team during busy periods and special events.
  • Perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required from Management as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • 2-3 years’ experience working in a fast-paced bar, high-end club, or restaurant.
  • Must be 18 years or older.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Positive attitude and a strong sense of urgency.
  • Ability to interact with co-workers to assure compliance with company service standards.
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
  • Must be able to read, speak and write English Language to communicate with guests and coworkers.
  • Ability to lift to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned production tasks including constant reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods of time.
  • Flexible availability includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
