Barback Responsibilities

Barbacks at Moonlight are responsible for assisting our Bartenders to ensure they have everything they need to provide exceptional service to our guests. Back bar duties include, but are not limited to:

• Keep the bar stocked with liquor, syrups, glasses, napkins, and all other necessary items before and during service hours.
• Prepare garnishes, refill ice wells, change beer kegs, and restock napkins and straws.
• Keep the bar area neat and clean (clean up spills, remove glassware, and organize the bar top and service bar areas).
• Take direction from Managers and Bartenders.
• Handle emergency situations, like cleaning up broken glasses and clearing clogged drains.
• Restock ice and supplies throughout service.
• Provide our members with exceptional customer service.
• Passion for food, beverage, and hospitality.
• Ability to multi-task in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to high standards with impeccable attention to detail.
• Greet all guests that approach the bar, even during off hours.
• Maintain a strong, upbeat, and positive personality.
• Work clean, as all service areas are within full view of guests.
• During downtime, check off cleaning duties on the weekly cleaning schedule.
• During shift change, restock before clocking out.
• Perform closing duties to completion at the end of the night.
• Maintain a team-oriented mentality.
• Dependability.

Required Experience

• Knowledge of both classic and current food and beverage trends.
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a luxury setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong work ethic and team player attitude.
• Ability to lift, move, carry 40–50 lb boxes and crates.
