Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• 1–3 months related work experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 6 months prior experience in a lounge, bar, tavern or sit-down restaurant desired.
• Prior casino experience desired.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to multi-task and work independently.
• Employment is contingent upon a favorable background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provides attentive and friendly service to customers.
• Keeps bar stocked with beer, wine, liquor, juices, mixes, ice, dry goods, etc.
• Assists Bartender with bar service preparation (cutting garnishes, dishwashing, etc.).
• Assists Bartender with opening and closing duties as needed.
• May serve and refill food and beverages for casino guests, including coffee/espresso.
• Removes empty beverage containers in a courteous and timely manner.
• Operates, balances and reconciles cash till and POS as trained.
• Keeps liquor room and beer cooler neat and organized.
• Washes and stocks glassware and utensils.
• Attends mandatory department meetings and training sessions.
• Ensures work stations are stocked, neat, clean and sanitary.
• Notifies supervisor of equipment malfunctions.
• Follows merchandising, stocking, rotating and storing standards; adheres to food safety guidelines.
• Communicates guest complaints, problems or compliments to a supervisor promptly.
• Works nights, weekends, special events and holidays as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
