Job summary

EOS on Hilton Head Island is seeking a bartender to greet guests, promote house drinks, and prepare beverages to recipe standards. You will coordinate with restaurant service, monitor guest safety, and manage cash handling while maintaining a clean, secure bar area.

The role requires basic reading, writing and math skills, fluency in English, and optional formal bartending training. Availability to work nights, weekends and holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• Must speak fluent English.
• Formal bartending training preferred.
• Knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, preparation methods and garnishments.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests at the bar, promote house drinks and use up-selling skills to maximize revenues.
• Prepare beverages per recipes; coordinate with restaurant for bar/lounge guests.
• Monitor guest behavior and confirm age when serving alcohol; check identifications.
• Report issues to Management and perform service recovery as needed.
• Set up bar with liquor, mixers, ice, garnishes, glassware; perform pre/post-shift duties.
• Inventory liquor and ensure security of alcohol.
• Handle cash, balance drawer at end of shift, maintain clean bar area.
• Promote teamwork and coordinate with other departments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
