Job summary

The Langham, Chicago is seeking a friendly, professional team member to provide top-tier service in its food and beverage outlets. You will set up tables, serve courses and beverages, assist bartenders, and work closely with the outlet team to ensure Forbes standards are met.

This role requires basic knowledge of food and beverage, good English communication, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Part-time, with benefits including paid time off, a 401(k) option, meals on duty, staff

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; preferred.
• Prior Food and Beverage experience required.
• Ability to obtain government required license or certificate.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain tables in assigned sections with attention to details.
• Inspect linen, silver, china for cleanliness and appearance.
• Serve food, coffee, water and beverages to guests.
• Cooperate with servers, porters and kitchen staff.
• Explain dishes and ingredients to guests.
• Assist bartenders with bar setup and replenishment.
• Clear and reset tables; maintain cleanliness.
• Communicate with F&B management daily.
• Learn hotel facilities and local information for guest inquiries.
• Follow health and safety procedures.
• Attend monthly department meetings.
• Perform other duties as requested.
