The role requires 6+ months in bar prep or similar, food-safety knowledge, and strong organizational skills. Flexible schedule, team focus, and emphasis on safety and efficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of bar prep/bar backing or high-volume kitchen prep.
• Ability to read/convert recipes (metric & imperial) and weigh/measure precisely.
• Food Handler certification or ability to obtain.
• Organized, efficient, and calm under pressure; strong communication.
• Schedule flexibility for nights, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily prep lists for fresh juices, syrups, cordials, purees, infusions, tinctures, and garnishes.
• Scale recipes accurately (weight/volume); document yields and losses.
• Batch cocktails to spec, verify ABV/dilution targets, and label with production date.
• Taste and calibrate products for balance; maintain garnish consistency.
• Rotate stock using FIFO; pull and discard expired items.
• Adhere to DOH/HACCP standards; log temps and maintain labels.
• Set pars and restock stations pre-service and during peak periods.
• Assist with receiving checks and weekly counts; track usage.
• Operate bar equipment safely; report malfunctions.
• Collaborate with bartenders on tastings and menu rollouts; uphold culture.
