Job Description

The Encore Boston Harbor Bar Porter will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitary conditions of bar and cocktail venues before, during, and after guest service. This includes supporting the department's responsibilities, maintaining standards, and ensuring an excellent guest and team member experience.

Job Responsibilities

• Implement and apply all core values and standards.
• Participate in departmental goals, monitor effectiveness, and suggest improvements.
• Contribute to departmental policies, ensure confidentiality, and report accurately.
• Enforce internal policies, laws, and regulations.
• Deliver high levels of service and satisfaction.
• Communicate effectively with guests and team members.
• Attend meetings and prepare materials for shifts.
• Maintain safety standards and keep knowledge up-to-date.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Must obtain and maintain a Massachusetts Gaming Commission license.
• ServSafe certification or equivalent preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 6 months of related experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, attention to detail.
• Knowledge of chemicals, SDS, sanitation, OSHA guidelines.
• Ability to read, interpret documents, and communicate effectively.
• Basic mathematical and reasoning skills.
• Physical ability to lift at least 50 pounds, stand, walk, and perform physical tasks.
• Ability to work varying schedules, adapt to noise levels.

Work Environment

• Moderate to loud noise levels, depending on the area.
• Varying schedules based on business needs.
