Job summary

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa is seeking a Bar Porter to maintain a high standard of customer service at the bar, keep the area stocked and clean in line with health standards, and ensure the bar runs smoothly during shifts.

You will stock, mix and garnish drinks, greet guests, and support responsible gaming. This on-site role emphasizes team collaboration and adherence to company policies while delivering a positive guest experience.

Qualifications

• Cleans bar area, including bars tops, sinks, glasses and appliances per policies and health standards.
• Ensures bar is set properly and staffed.
• Stocks bar with products and supplies throughout shift.
• Prepares all mixes and garnishes.
• Greets and communicates with customers at the bar.
• Supports responsible gaming and alcohol service by reporting concerns to managers.

Responsibilities

• Ensures bar is set properly.
• Ensures all soda gun products, fruit garnishes, and mixes meet service standards.
• Stocks assigned bar with product and supplies throughout the shift.
• Prepares all mixes and garnishes.
• Acknowledges, greets and converses with customers who approach the bar.
• Demonstrates commitment to responsible gaming and discreetly notifies managers of concerns.
• Demonstrates actions that reinforce the Company’s Mission and Values.
• Notify managers or Ethics Hotline of any illegal acts or ethics violations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Description:

The Bar porter is responsible to maintain a high standard of customer service while ensuring the assigned bar is stocked and clean.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Cleans bar area, including bar tops, sinks, glasses, refrigerators, coolers and other bar appliances in accordance with Hard Rock policies as well as the New Jersey Health Standards.
• Ensures bar is set properly.
• Ensures all soda gun products, fruit garnishes, and mixes meets service standards.
• Stocks assigned bar with product and supplies throughout the shift
• Prepares all mixes and garnishes
• Acknowledges, greets and converses with customers who approach the bar
• Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service bydiscreetly notifying appropriate managers of concerns and observations.
• Demonstrate actions and behaviors that reinforce the Company’s Mission and Values.
• Ensure prompt and discreet notification to managers and/or the Ethics Hotline of any observation of illegal acts or internal ethics violations.
