Job summary

Sidelines Sports Bar & Grill in Millville, NJ is seeking a dynamic Bar Manager/Bartender to lead front-of-house operations and manage bar staff. This dual-role combines guest interaction with leadership responsibilities to keep service smooth.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of management and bartending experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and knowledge of mixology. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required; TIPS/RAS and NJ liquor laws knowledge

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years restaurant/bar management and bartending experience.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in staff training and building a collaborative team.
• Familiarity with kitchen operations improves communication with culinary staff.
• Strong knowledge of mixology and beverage preparation.

Responsibilities

• Manage FOH bartenders and barbacks.
• Coordinate employee schedules.
• Train new staff on bar operations, drink preparation techniques, and customer service standards.
• Responsible for liquor inventory.
• Follow company policies and procedures regarding cash, property, products, and equipment.
• Craft and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with consistency according to house recipes and customer preferences.
• Provide excellent customer service by creating an inviting atmosphere where each guest enjoys a memorable experience.
• Ensure compliance with NJ liquor laws, responsible alcohol service (TIPS/RAS), and health & safety regulations.
• Resolve guest concerns and staff issues in a professional and timely manner.
