Job summary

Wicker Point Golf Club is seeking an experienced Bar Manager to lead the beverage program across the main clubhouse, wind down bar, and related venues. You will supervise staff, manage daily beverage operations, and ensure top‑notch service for members and guests.

The role requires strong leadership, creativity in cocktails and promotions, and strict adherence to safety and sanitation standards across all outlets.

Responsibilities

• Works with Assistant Manager to implement a beverage program including wine, beer, and cocktails.
• Maintains bar products and supplies inventory.
• Plans promotional strategies and develops recipes to improve the beverage program for members and guests.
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of all bar areas, glassware, and equipment through regular inspections.
• Follows standard operating procedures to ensure bars are set up and operated efficiently.
• Inspects bar before every shift to ensure adequate garnishes, juices, liquors, beers, wines, and mixers.
• Ensures compliance with all laws applicable to beverage operations.
• Assists Dining Room Manager to provide efficient beverage service.
• Assists Banquet and Events Coordinator in providing products for events.
• Ensures safety and sanitation procedures are followed in all bar areas.
• Keeps current with member preferences and industry trends in beverages.
• Procures additional supplies for the bar as necessary.
• Reports complaints to the assistant manager promptly.
• Maintains daily inventory and records of drinks in demand.
• The Bar Manager should be able to mix, prepare, serve, and train others on drinks.
• Creates procedures to stock, clean, and secure beverage areas during opening/closing.
• Ensures member tickets are entered on the day of service.
• Attends staff meetings as required.
• Assists in developing wine, beer, and cocktail lists.
• The Bar Manager may work in various beverage department areas and may open/close or be on duty.
