Job summary

Wicker Point Golf Club in Alexander City, AL is seeking a Head Bartender to lead the beverage program across our golf club bars. You will work with the Assistant Manager to deliver wine, beer, and cocktails, manage inventory, and set standards for service.

The role requires strong leadership, a customer-focused approach, and ability to train staff. Prior lead bartending experience and a high school diploma are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years’ lead bartending experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with Assistant Manager to implement a beverage program including wine, beer, and cocktails.
• Maintain bar inventory and supplies.
• Assist in planning promotional strategies and develop recipes to improve the beverage program.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of bar areas, glassware, and equipment.
• Follow SOPs to ensure bars operate efficiently.
• Inspect bar before each shift to ensure garnishes, juices, liquors, beers, wines, and mixers are prepared.
• Ensure all laws applicable to beverage operations are followed.
• Assist Dining Room Manager to provide beverage service.
• Ensure safety and sanitation procedures are followed.
• Keep up with member preferences and industry trends.
• Procure additional supplies as necessary.
• Report complaints to a manager.
• Maintain daily inventory and demand records.
• Mix, prepare, serve, and train others on drinks.
• Clean and lock up per procedures.
• Enter member tickets on day of service.
• Attend staff meetings.
• Assist in developing wine, beer, and cocktail lists.
• Work in various beverage areas.
• May serve as opening/closing or manager on duty.
