Summary:
Oversees the activities of all the bars and bar service for Club members, guests and all functions involving alcoholic beverages. Maintains general standards of stocking glassware, liquor, beer, wine and miscellaneous bar supplies. Responsible for the beverage cost and payroll.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises line employees in the Bars. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Makes recommendations as to the hiring and firing of employees.
Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); plus a minimum of two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certificate from a bar tending school is preferred. Certified Sommelier or WSET Level 1.
Language Skills:
Ability to communicate well in English. Ability to read and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, members, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and volume.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Inventory software. Must be proficient with point-of-sale (POS) electronic ordering system.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Alcohol Awareness certificate.
