Job summary

Hyatt Regency Denver Tech Center is seeking energetic hospitality staff for an hourly tipped role in the Food & Beverage department. You will serve beverages and/or food, greet guests, take cash, and balance the register.

The position requires knowledge of liquor regulations, a current Food Handler Card, and basic math for POS transactions. Varying shifts, a fast-paced lounge environment, and a team-focused culture are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of state, federal and corporate liquor regulations regarding serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Hold a current Food Handler Card.
• Basic mathematical skills to operate a cash register, make change, total checks and perform cash drops.
• Basic English writing skills for requisitions and vouchers.

Responsibilities

• Greets guests and promotes and documents drink orders, mixes and garnishes drinks.
• Maintains bar setup and stocks beer, wine, spirits, and related supplies.
• Handles cash, verifies charges, records transactions, and balances money.
• Inputs orders into the POS and creates checks for guests and staff.
• Performs general cleaning tasks and adheres to safety standards.
• Assists other beverage personnel as needed.
