Hotel Bardo Savannah is seeking an experienced Bar Lead for The Green Room, our lobby bar at the heart of the hotel. This hands-on bartending role includes leadership responsibilities and acts as shift point person when the Bar Supervisor isn't present.

The ideal candidate blends polished service with anticipatory hospitality, leads from behind the bar, and communicates confidently to keep service flowing from opening through closing.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience in upscale luxury or high-volume full‑service environments.
• Strong cocktail, spirits, wine and beverage knowledge.
• Previous lead, trainer or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
• Natural leadership presence with a team‑first approach.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

About the role

Hotel Bardo Savannah is seeking an experienced, hospitality-driven Bar Lead to join the team at The Green Room , our lobby bar and gathering place at the heart of the hotel.

The Bar Lead is a hands‑on bartending position with an added level of leadership and accountability. Working closely with the Bar Supervisor, this role helps ensure The Green Room consistently delivers the polished, engaging and highly personalized service our guests expect. When the Bar Supervisor is not present, the Bar Lead serves as the point person for the shift—keeping the team focused, maintaining standards, and helping service run smoothly from opening through close.

The ideal candidate is an accomplished bartender who naturally leads from behind the bar. They notice the details, anticipate what the team and guests need, communicate confidently, and are comfortable making decisions in the moment without losing sight of the guest experience.

This is an onsite position located at Hotel Bardo Savannah.

What you'll do

• Deliver polished, engaging bar service while serving as a visible example of The Green Room and Hotel Bardo service standards
• Serve as the designated shift leader when the Bar Supervisor is not present, helping maintain service standards, organization and accountability throughout the shift
• Support bartenders and barbacks during service, directing priorities and stepping in wherever needed to keep service flowing
• Anticipate guest preferences and personalize the experience through thoughtful, intuitive hospitality
• Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer and non‑alcoholic beverages with precision, efficiency and consistency
• Ensure proper bar setup, cleanliness, stocking, glassware, garnishes and overall presentation throughout service
• Maintain consistency in beverage preparation, presentation, pacing and responsible alcohol service
• Address guest concerns with confidence and good judgment, resolving issues when appropriate and involving leadership when necessary
• Communicate important shift updates, operational concerns, guest feedback and team needs to the Bar Supervisor and Food & Beverage leadership
• Help reinforce beverage knowledge, service expectations and proper procedures with the bar team
• Complete opening and closing responsibilities and help ensure The Green Room is prepared for the next service

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience in an upscale, luxury, craft cocktail or high-volume full‑service environment
• Strong cocktail, spirits, wine and beverage knowledge
• Previous lead, trainer or supervisory experience strongly preferred
• Natural leadership presence with the ability to provide direction and hold standards without losing a team‑first approach
• Confident decision‑maker who remains composed during busy or challenging service periods
• Strong communication, organization and multitasking skills
• Genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
• Excellent presentation and grooming standards
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends and holidays
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of a busy bar environment
