Job summary

Omni Severin Hotel in downtown Indianapolis is seeking an experienced server for our Bar Cardinal. You will provide fine dining service, know the menus and beverage offerings, and help manage station setup, guest preferences, and upsell opportunities.

• Knowledge of fine dining service.
• Must be familiar with menus.
• Must know beverage offerings.
• Station set-up and breakdown/side-work.
• Polish and clean water glasses before opening hours.
• Perform duties as assigned by restaurant manager.
• Determine guests' preferences and upsell premium items.
• Assist in opening and closing duties.
• Be pleasant, smile and greet all guests.
• Extensive wine knowledge and service etiquette.
• Must adhere to compensation acknowledgment and tip reporting guidelines.
• Clear written and spoken English with guests and staff.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task.
• Prior serving and cash handling experience preferred.
• Flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• MICROS Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of fine dining service.

• Prior serving and cash handling experience preferred.
• Must be able to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• MICROS Experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period of time or for an entire shift.
• Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects of moderate weight without assistance.
