Job summary

Omni Severin Hotel, located in downtown Indianapolis, is seeking a Guest Room Attendant to maintain the highest cleanliness standard in each guest room. Responsibilities include refreshing rooms for continuing stays and thoroughly cleaning rooms after checkout to prepare for the next guest.

Responsibilities include cleaning beds and bathrooms, restocking items, and communicating room status. Applicants must be able to stand for long periods and work flexible hours, including nights, weekends,

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Prior housekeeping experience required or other relevant environmental services experience.
• Stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
• Must possess the ability to report to work on time and maintain personal hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean guest rooms including: making beds, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, and dusting.
• Uphold Omni Safe and Clean processes.
• Restock and replace used items within guest rooms.
• Communicate clean status of each room upon completion.
• Remove room service trays and tables from guest rooms.
• Stock supply cart and ensure it is neat and organized at all times.
• Check all equipment prior to and after use to ensure it is in good working order.
• Maintain a professional appearance according to Omni Boston Seaport standards.
• Respond swiftly to emergencies or safety situations to ensure a safe environment.
• Attend required department trainings and meetings.
• Perform other duties as required by management.

Overview:

The Guest Room Attendant position is responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in each guest room. Room Attendants refresh rooms for guests who are continuing their stay, as well as, thoroughly clean rooms of guests who have checked out in preparation for the next guest checking in.

Qualifications:

• Prior housekeeping experience required or other relevant environmental services experience.
• Stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift. Requires frequent bending, reaching overhead and squatting.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours as needed during busy times and high-profile events, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to handle multiple priorities.
• Must possess the ability to handle stressful and busy hotel operations. Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor and composure at all times.
• Must have the ability to report to work on time and when scheduled.
• Must meet standards of appearance and maintain a high level of personal hygiene at all times.
• Luxury hotel experience preferred
