Job summary

Loews Hotels & Co is seeking a dedicated team member for service roles at the Arlington Hotel and Convention Center. Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness in the dining area, assisting with food service, and ensuring a welcoming experience for guests. Candidates should possess excellent guest service skills and be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

The position requires the ability to carry trays and a high school diploma or equivalent. This is an essential role in delivering quality dining experiences.

Qualifications

• Ability to walk, stand, stoop, bend, lift and carry trays weighing 35+ pounds repetitively during entire shift.
• Excellent guest service skills are essential.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Stocks and maintains supplies in all service areas.
• Clears soiled plates and service ware from service areas and tables.
• Greets guests and assists Server with delivery of water and beverages.

Job Specific

• Stocks and maintains supplies in all service areas
• Inspects and prepares all service ware prior to use
• Clears soiled plates, service ware etc. from service areas and tables to dish wash area, sorts appropriately
• Cleans and pre-sets tables with all service ware
• Greets guests and assists Server with delivery of water and beverages
• Removes unneeded place settings from occupied tables
• Carries trays of food from kitchen to table
• May assist Server in presentation of meals for large parties and during periods of heavy volume
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitary condition of dining room and service areas
• Assists in completion of post meal clean up and side work duties

General

• Promotes and applies teamwork skills at all times
• Notifies appropriate individual promptly and fully of problems and/or unusual matters of significance
• Is polite, friendly, and helpful to guests, management and fellow team members
• Executes emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standards
