If you share our passion, we would love to cook with you and add your special ingredients to our recipe.**Overview of the role**The Bar Back will be responsible for ensuring exceptional service to all guests that is consistent and continually in accordance with the Epicurean Hotel [Hotel Name] service standards and Mainsail Lodging & Development standards. The Bar Back will also be responsible for helping all other staff and operations to maintain a well-organized, clean, and well-stocked outlet. Friendly interactions with patrons will be required, but the focus will be on the support staff position.**What you have*** High school diploma, equivalent, or higher* Previous hospitality experience* Minimum 1-year experience working in a restaurant or bar setting* Knowledge and experience with beer, wine, and liquor* Customer service experience* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written* Experience working on a team in a hospitality setting* Ability to use technology, e.g., computers, tablets, iPads, and POS* Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision.* A sense of ownership in everything that you do**What you'll do*** Provide service to bartenders in a timely manner* Prepare beverage garnishes and mixes* Ensure proper stocking and rotation of beer, liquor, wine, and consumable items* Clean glasses, utensils, tools, and other bar equipment* Run food from kitchen to bar and bar area to ensure guests receive their food in a timely manner* Provide guests with menu knowledge, including ingredients, preparation, and prices* Maintain opening and closing par levels for beer, wine, liquor, and consumables* Assist in the receiving and unloading of bar items.
