Job summary

The Post Oak in Houston is launching an exciting new restaurant and beverage program, and we are seeking a Barback to join the opening team. You will help deliver a premier guest experience from day one, supporting bartenders and ensuring smooth bar operations.

In this tipped position, you will prepare batches, restock, and maintain cleanliness and organization behind the bar, while contributing to the guest experience with quick, attentive service and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of Barback, Bar Prep, or beverage support experience in a high-volume, upscale setting.
• Organized and proficient at multitasking.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Join the opening team and support the launch of the new restaurant and beverage program.
• Prepare cocktail batches, garnishes, syrups, juices, and other ingredients per recipes.
• Maintain bar readiness with stocked supplies, glassware, ice, and beverages.
• Assist with inventory, product rotation, restocking, and storage organization.
• Support bartenders during service with timely operational help and efficiency.
• Uphold cleanliness and presentation standards across bar/beverage areas.
