Kirkwood, a new upscale dining establishment in Houston, is looking for a detail-oriented Barback to support bartenders. Qualifications

• Previous experience in a bar or restaurant environment, preferably in upscale or fine dining.
• Knowledge of craft cocktails, wine, and premium spirits.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Restock bar supplies including spirits, wine, beer, mixers, ice, garnishes, and glassware throughout service.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary bar area at all times.
• Engage with guests to build bar business.
• Assist bartenders with prep work including cutting fruit and batching mixers.
• Reset the bar top, including refilling water glasses and clearing dishes.

Skills

Previous experience in a bar or restaurant environment

Knowledge of craft cocktails, wine, and premium spirits
