Job summary

Atlas Restaurant Group in Maryland is seeking a Bar Back to support the bar team in a fast-paced environment. You will assist with opening/closing duties, stock garnishes, napkins, glassware, and maintain bar cleanliness while learning menu items and cocktail recipes.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, 1 year of experience, and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience required.
• Meets state minimum age to serve alcohol (18).
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; must be a team player.
• Able to stand, walk for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with opening/closing duties and stock the bar with garnishes, napkins and glassware.
• Maintain bar inventory for ice, liquor, wine and beer.
• Check taps and appliances; perform minor repairs or change kegs as needed.
• Keep the bar clean; wipe surfaces, sweep, mop and handle waste.
• Assist bartenders; learn menu items and cocktail recipes; navigate the POS.
• Perform daily and weekly cleaning duties.
