Job summary

Apscareerportal in Nashville, TN is seeking a bartender to take beverage orders from serving staff or patrons, and to mix and serve cocktails with precision and speed.

You will balance cash receipts, check IDs, stock bar supplies, maintain a clean bar area, and assist with snacks or light food items for customers seated at the bar. The role is on-site with a flexible schedule and opportunities to provide excellent guest service.

Responsibilities

• Take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from patrons
• Mix ingredients, such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters, to prepare cocktails and other drinks
• Collect money for drinks served
• Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
• Clean glasses, utensils, and bar equipment
• Balance cash receipts
• Stock bar with beer, wine, liquor, and related supplies such as ice, glassware, napkins, or straws
• Clean bars, work areas, and tables
• Serve snacks or food items to customers seated at the bar
• Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks
• Arrange bottles and glasses to make attractive displays
