Job summary

ASM Global-SMG Premier Food Serv. Inc. is looking for a Food Service Supervisor for the 2026 Del Mar Fairgrounds & Thoroughbred Racing Seasons. This role will involve managing daily operations, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with health regulations while providing excellent service to customers.

The ideal candidate should have a High School diploma or GED, supervisory experience, and strong communication skills. The pay rate ranges from $22.00 to $26.00 per hour.

Qualifications

Summary

Legends Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an immediate opening for the 2026 Del Mar Fairgrounds & Thoroughbred Racing Seasons. Daily operations and supervision of employees preparing and serving food and drinks to customers in restaurants, bars, concessions, beer carts, banquet halls and concerts.

Responsibilities

• Train new staff and manage employees.
• Oversee inventory of food, beverages, supplies and restaurant equipment.
• Resolve customer complaints regarding food quality and service.
• Ensure compliance with health and food safety regulations.
• Familiar with OSHA, Health Department, ABC laws, Serv‑Safe, L.E.A.D., T.I.P.S., Responsible Beverage Service (RBS), and POS system proficiency.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; hospitality experience preferred.
• Previous supervisory position.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Energetic and able to stand and walk for 8 hours.
• Computer skills – Microsoft Word/Excel.

Compensation

Pay rate: $22.00 to $26.00 per hour.

Physical Demands

Regularly required to move around the facility, stand for long hours during events, talk and hear. May need to work inside or outside building.
