Job Title: Banquet Server

Hourly Rate: $16.50

Job Summary: Provides exceptional food service to property guests during events, special events, and other catered functions, as well as any other property hosted event as requested and scheduled.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Serves guests at assigned station quickly, courteously, and efficiently.
2. Observes guests to fulfill any additional requests and to note when the meal is finished.
3. Assists other servers in a cooperative manner to ensure efficient service to guests.
4. Completes assigned side work as directed.
5. Sets dining tables to established standards.
6. Familiarizes self with all items on daily menus.
7. Sets tables/rooms with linens, china, etc., keeping in consideration the event's prospectus and following established procedures.

Qualifications:

1. Prior banquet or convention services experience at a comparable property desired.
2. Possess a basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards of comparable hotels, guest relations, and etiquette.
3. Requires ability to perform basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
4. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
5. Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English to understand instructions, safety rules, and communicate with guests.
6. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must complete RBS - alcohol awareness certification as scheduled upon employment. Must have a valid current Food Handlers Card or willingness and ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment.
