Job summary

Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort & Spa in Avon, Colorado, is seeking a Banquet Manager to oversee daily banquet operations and guide the banquet team toward exceptional guest experiences.

You will coordinate with the Food & Beverage Director and hotel departments, ensuring high service standards, staffing, and budgeting for events while maintaining Hyatt standards and health regulations.

Qualifications

• Full Time Management Position requiring weekend/holiday availability.
• Desire to understand and anticipate needs in a fast-paced environment.
• Refined verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in general computer knowledge.
• Creative, innovative, detail oriented and organized.
• Hotel experience and understanding banquet service levels.
• Experience as Event Services Manager/Assistant, Banquet Captain or Supervisor preferred.
• High energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leadership, strong development and training skills.
• Excellent customer service and ability to engage staff.

Responsibilities

• Supports and manages the Events Department closely with the Food and Beverage Director and other hotel departments.
• Supervise, empower, lead, coach and motivate the banquet team toward exceptional guest service.
• Assist in achieving top box service scores on Meeting Planner surveys and review Banquet Event Orders.
• Coordinate staffing and equipment needs; ensure proper setup of all functions.
• Coordinate events with Culinary, Stewarding, Catering/CS, CS Floor and Beverage.
• Maintain high energy, positive, professional appearance.
• Develop ideas for special events and holiday functions.
• Handle payroll, reports, forecasts, POS procedures, inventory and budget for F&B functions.
• Perform daily walk-throughs to ensure compliance with health regulations and Hyatt standards.
• Ensure proper setup and execution of all events.
