Job summary

Colonial Group's FB Beverage division in Hawaii seeks a MKR Bartender II to greet guests, mix and serve cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks, and provide attentive bar service. The candidate should have prior bartending experience, strong communication and multitasking skills, and be able to work varied shifts in a hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• 3 years related work experience.
• Ability to read and write to perform duties.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be pleasant, smiling and friendly.
• County Liquor Commission Blue Card preferred, or acquired within 30 days after hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner, personalizing the service.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks promptly.
• Present checks and process payments according to hotel policies.
• Accept cash payments; maintain a cash bank and cash handling procedures.
• Keep bar and surrounding area clean and orderly.
• Prepare garnishes to ensure freshness.
• Serve appetizers offered at the bar.
• Open bar and secure it at the end of the shift.
• Provide prompt, friendly service and manage bar volume.
• Enter all sales into the resort’s POS system.
• Follow county liquor regulations and hotel policies.
• Maintain par stock inventory and complete requisitions.
• Complete shift reports and required sales reports.
• Answer questions and make recommendations to guests.
• Respond to irate patrons by contacting the hotel manager.
• Order food from restaurant or room service as requested.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
