Job summary

Colonial Group's Bartender I position in Hawaii invites you to join a vibrant resort bar team. You will set up the bar, handle garnishes, maintain inventory, and craft handcrafted cocktails while delivering friendly, personalized service to guests.

You will greet guests, take orders, upsell wine and menu pairings, follow liquor laws, and work with the POS system to process payments; ability to train new staff and handle high-volume service is required.

Qualifications

• Read and write English to perform job duties.
• Passionate about food and beverage with a guest-first mindset.
• Service-minded and innovative to maintain high service standards.
• Able to pass three assessments: behavioral, food knowledge, beverage knowledge.
• Related work experience in hospitality.
• Health clearance and TB clearance.
• Able to multi-task.
• Must be 18+ to serve alcohol.
• Engaging, friendly, and able to convey aloha spirit.
• Blue Card from liquor commission.
• Trained in responsible alcohol service within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Set up bar, glassware, garnish, ice, and food setup.
• Welcome guests and personalize service.
• Take orders and upsell through recommendations.
• Follow liquor laws and hotel policies.
• Maintain bar supplies and equipment.
• Create handcrafted cocktails and recommend pairings.
