Job summary

Avion Hospitality in Lexington, KY seeks an experienced banquet supervisor to lead set-up, service, and break-down for a variety of events. You will coordinate with sales, catering, and F&B teams to deliver high-quality guest experiences and ensure compliance with safety and alcohol regulations.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in hotel or events, strong communication, and the ability to handle high-pressure situations while maintaining a friendly, professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service oriented manner.
• Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Avion Hospitality standards, as required by scheduling.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including uniform and name tag.
• Comply with Avion Hospitality standards and regulations to ensure safe and efficient hotel operations.
• Comply with certification requirements as applicable to position (Alcohol Awareness, Food Handlers, Safety).
• Inspect the setup of meeting and banquet functions and ensure standards are met.
• Supervise and assist with banquet function setup and advance preparation for service.
• Coordinate with Sales/Catering Manager and in-house meeting or banquet contact.
• Respond to guests’ problems, complaints and accidents; communicate with Banquet Manager/Supervisor/F&B Manager.
• Assist in hiring/training Banquet staff and with banquet wage reports.
