Job summary

Seaport Hotel is seeking a Utility Attendant to support the kitchen and banquet operations. You will wash and prep all china, glass, and silver, maintain clean service areas, and assist with equipment breakdowns during events.

This role requires teamwork with Food and Beverage staff and cooks, and reports to the Executive Steward. Daily duties include maintaining cleanliness of kitchens, walk-ins, and storage, following sanitary regulations, and assisting with purchasing and receiving as needed.

Qualifications

• Hospitality experience preferred.
• Fluency in English preferred.
• High School diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Wash, clean and maintain all small wares for food service operation.
• Maintain clean kitchen, walk-in freezers, refrigerators, and storage areas always.
• Clean and maintain all cooking equipment (stoves, ovens, skillets, etc.).
• Follow all sanitary and safety regulations.
• Clean facilities and equipment, e.g., floors and garbage.
• Ensure adequate supplies and resupply procedures.
• Support kitchen staff and assist purchasing/receiving as needed.
• Read banquet event orders and set up china, glass, and silver accordingly.
• Organize china, glass and silver before, during and after events.
