Job summary

Omni Amelia Island Resort & Spa is seeking a Banquet Steward to transport equipment and maintain cleanliness for all banquet events. You will ensure clean pots, plates, and china, set up and breakdown stations, and support dishwashing while upholding health, safety, and sanitation standards.

The role requires hands-on F&B knowledge, strong customer service, and the ability to mentor and develop talent within a hospitality-focused team.

Qualifications

• Hands-on food and beverage knowledge and a working knowledge of the hospitality business.
• Experience in a large convention hotel is strongly preferred.
• Highly developed customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and strong problem-solving abilities.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop growing talent for the company.

Responsibilities

• Replenish kitchen line with clean pots, plates, and china.
• Assist with banquet plate ups as directed.
• Establish dish out and breakdown stations for all banquet events; assist with dishwashing as needed.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards; prepare for health department and Ecosure inspections.
• Clean and sanitize ice machines.
• Maintain cleanliness in food prep areas, refrigeration, storage, and service areas.
• Clean and sanitize shelving, carts, and trash receptacles.
• Perform any other duties requested by senior management.
