Job summary

Sun Valley Resort is seeking a Banquet Steward to maintain sanitary kitchen, machinery, and equipment. The role requires standing for long periods, walking, and lifting up to 75 pounds, with duties including dishwashing, equipment care, and waste management.

This is a full-time, on-site position at Sun Valley. Responsibilities cover sanitation, equipment storage, floor care, and supporting management with additional duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, and silverware.
• Wash and sanitize pots, pans, and utensils.
• Maintain clean work areas by removing debris, boxes and equipment.
• Attend to trash and recycling in kitchen areas.
• Ensure clean floors and safe sweeping/mopping practices.
• Store cleaned kitchen equipment in an organized manner.
• Attend to other duties as assigned by management.

Description

The Banquet Steward ensures the kitchen, machinery, and equipment are maintained in the most sanitary condition.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, and silverware
• Wash and sanitize pots, pans, and prepare utensils
• Maintain safe work areas by attending to debris, boxes, equipment, etc
• Attend to all trash and recycling matters in kitchen areas
• Ensure clean floors, practicing safe methods while sweeping and mopping
• Safely store cleaned kitchen equipment in an organized manner
• Attend to other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

• Engage in physical activities like standing for long periods, walking, and utilizing hands for tasks that involve gripping, handling, poking, and reaching
• Can safely lift and/or move up to 75pounds
