Job summary

Keowee River Club Golf, LLC is seeking banquet staff to serve meals and beverages at dinners and events. You will help with setup, guest service, and breakdown, maintaining friendliness and efficiency.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, strong communication skills, and a customer-focused attitude. No prior banquet experience is required; travel is not expected.

Description

Banquet Server Job Summary: Performing food and drink serving duties at dinners and special events while interacting with guests in a positive, friendly and efficient manner. Assisting with set-up and break down for events.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Set up for events by arranging tables, chairs and buffet. Set out tablecloths and place settings.
• Carrying plates of food on trays and serving guests
• Keep glasses filled; remove each round of plates (from the right) and replenish utensils.
• Perform cleaning tasks and breakdown of service
• Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness
• Adhere to grooming and appearance standards

Qualification requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous wait or banquet server experience
• Excellent oral communication and listening skills
• Ability to follow directions
• Excellent customer service skills

Physical Demands and Abilities:

• Frequently walking with some standing at times, possibly extended distances; ability to bend and climb stairs when necessary
• Frequently lift/carry up to 25 lbs
• Occasionally lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
• Supervisory Responsibility: no supervisory responsibility

Work Environment: While working the duties of this job the employee is occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions. The work environment is friendly and professional and can be busy, fast- paced and energetic. Work environment is exposed to cleaning chemicals and solutions on a daily basis.

Physical Demands: Must be able to stand and exert fast- paced mobility for periods of up to 6 hours in length. Must have good sense of balance, be able to bend, kneel and have ability to frequently maneuver trays weighing up to 45 pounds. Server must have the ability to lift furniture, and banquet equipment. Must be able to walk and have full range of mobility.

Travel: No travel is expected for this position

Additional Eligibility Qualifications: Must have dependable transportation. Server must be at least 16 years of age.
