Job summary

Loews Arlington Hotel is seeking a proactive Banquet Houseperson to craft seamless event experiences. You will set up spaces, arrange tables and décor, and ensure everything is guest-ready for weddings, meetings, and social functions.

You’ll work with banquet leaders and event teams to execute plans, maintain cleanliness, and respond quickly to changes. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and flexibility across shifts.

Qualifications

• One year experience in a mid-high-volume banquet and/or upscale hotel setting.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, stoop, bend and lift 100+ pounds repetitively.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Execute room setups and breakdowns based on BEOs, including tables, chairs, staging, and décor.
• Ensure furniture and equipment are placed accurately and safely for events.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in banquet and storage areas.
• Perform regular inspections of event spaces before, during, and after functions.
• Assist with light maintenance of banquet equipment and report issues.
• Respond to guest and team requests during events, including last‑minute changes.
• Monitor and restock banquet supplies and communicate inventory needs.
• Collaborate with banquet captains, servers, and other departments for seamless execution.
• Uphold safety standards and maintain a guest-ready environment.
• Attend mandatory training sessions and meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
